News

20 September 2004: the development is currently stopped, because I don't have time to work on this project. Below there is al list of things I would have implemented, but never find the time.
4 August 2003: released version 0.1.1 and added RPM packages for Redhat 9.
5 June 2003: released the first public version 0.1 :)

Description

The libgexecutor is a small library, based on GLib2 - GObject, that simplifies the creation and managing of child processes, for programs based on glib-GObject.

The GExecutor is a class that extends the GObject class. It provides the "child-exited" signal that is sent when the child process terminates.

What is left to do

Use the more portable g_spawn_* functions from GLib instead of using fork() directly.
Add an example program to show the use of this library.
Add precompiled packages for more platforms.
